Wednesday, April 23: Teen Intermediates need to attend today’s 7:00 or 8:00pm class, No Teen class (7-8) tomorrow.
Thursday, April 24: Monthly Belt Test, 6-8pm, testing by invitation, spectators welcome (teens will make up on Wednesday)

Saturday April 26: Tournament, Shreveport, LA

All Yellow Stripe students and above are invited to participate this tournament. Families are welcome to meet us or follow us there. Individual students wishing to ride in the team van need to sign up by next Thursday– space is limited. We chip in $10 each when riding in the team van

LEAVE: Saturday, 6:00am - NO BREAKFAST STOP
RETURN: Saturday, about 10pm
ENTRY FEE: Tournament entry fee is $40 - pay at the tournament site

Directions: Take I-12 west to Hammond, Take I-55 North to Jackson, Take I-20 west for 8 miles to exit # 35, Go north at exit #35 to US Hwy 80, Take a right on US Hwy 80 to Mississippi College. Take a left on Capital Street.
National Championships Results:
This weekend in Albuquerque our students helped show that we are one of the toughest schools in the nation. After two days of competition, five of our eleven students in attendance had qualified for the Saturday Night Finals. Four of the five went on to claim National Champion titles. Here are the results:
Susan Rossi, 1st in executive novice women’s sparring.
Ingrid Rivera, 2nd in novice women’s forms.
Sandy Cheung, 1st in black belt women’s weapons, 2nd in forms, 3rd in sparring.
Katy Hoogerwerf, 3rd in black belt women’s middle weight sparring.
Sam Whittington, 1st in youth koshiki, 1st in 12-13 intermediate boys sparring.
Ryan King, 3rd in 10-11 year old beginning forms.
