Saturday,     May 24:      Inner-School Tournament & Awards Ceremony

Wednesday, May 28:        Teen Intermediates need to attend today’s 7:00 or 8:00pm class, No Teen class (7-8) tomorrow.

Thursday,   May 29:      Monthly Belt Test, 6-8pm, testing by invitation, spectators welcome (teens will make up on Wednesday)

Friday,          May 30:        OPEN GYM, 6-8pm, $5

& Inner-School Competition

Saturday May 24th         1:00 – 4:00

Once again it is that time of year where we will honor and name the top students of the year. In each of the intermediate and advanced classes, each student we will be voting in the following categories:

 

·        Hardest Worker

·        Most Improved

·        Most Spirited

·        Most Helpful

 

Sparring Competition (MKTC Students only)

 

§        White Belt Divisions

§        Yellow Stripe Belt Divisions

§        Yellow Belt Divisions

§        Color Belt Divisions

 

$10 per student, all divisions will be broken down by age and experience, trophies for 1st – 4th plus participation trophies

 

Demonstration Team Competition  

§        Black & Brown Belt Women’s Team   vs  Black & Brown Belt Men’s Team  

Winner determined by a student vote

 

Student of the Year Awards

§        Hardest Worker

§        Most Improved

§        Most Spirited

§        Most Helpful

 

This competition is for ALL of our students. If you will not be able to participate, please let us know ASAP.

You may sign up and pay at any time in the office.


** Tournament – Natchitoches, Louisiana **

Saturday, May 3rd, Natchitoches Education Center (Hwy 6 @ College Ave.)

Grappling and Weapons @ 9am,   Forms and Sparring @ 10:30 am

All Yellow Stripe students and above are invited to participate this tournament. Families are welcome to meet us or follow us there. Individual students wishing to ride in the team van need to sign up by Thursday– space is limited, Sandy will be the chaperone. We chip in $10 each when riding in the team van.

VAN SCHEDULE IS:

LEAVE:              Saturday, 5am - NO BREAKFAST STOP

RETURN:           Saturday, about 10pm

ENTRY FEE:      Tournament entry fee is $35 - pay at the tournament site  ($10 extra for grappling or Chanbara)   

                                    ($5 discount with USKA membership card)
